Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at the Holiday Inn Meydan, I found the modern, eight-story hotel offered a refreshing and vibrant atmosphere, ideal for both business and leisure travelers. Nestled conveniently near Riyadh's bustling business centers, including the iconic Kingdom Tower, it provided an excellent base to explore the city’s notable landmarks. The accommodation was immaculate, with housekeepers ensuring my room was spotless each day and a sumptuous bed that offered the best pillows I've experienced in a while. The buffet breakfast was impressive, showcasing a diverse selection of continental and oriental dishes, although the variety felt somewhat eclectic. Despite a couple of culinary missteps, like overly salty beef quesadillas and a lack of acknowledgment for the feedback on my dining experience, I appreciated the helpfulness of the staff, particularly during breakfast. For adventure enthusiasts like myself, the hotel also offers easy access to cultural gems such as the National Museum and the Masmak Fortress—all within a short drive. If you're looking for comfort and convenience in Riyadh, this hotel is a commendable choice, especially for families, with children under 12 dining free from the main menu.
